We ordered Organix Cheddar Cheese Flavor Dog Cookies by Castor & Pollux because Chicken Flavor Cookies were not available when we ran out. Lucky accident, that!

Our dogs go just as bonkers over the Cheese Cookies as they do for Chicken. These treats are exactly the right size for Dufus, our most ancient and venerable Shih Tzu, and our bigger dogs love them to bits. Dufus is missing some teeth, but he can easily crunch up these thinner biscuits. Regular dog biscuits are too hard.

Castor & Pollux makes the best dog treats we’ve ever found, on several levels:
“ORGANIX® Organic Dog Cookies feature 95% organic ingredients including organic, free-range chicken as the #1 ingredient in all formulas. No Corn, No Wheat! Shaped like a drumstick, about 1 1/2″ in length, easy to break, and yet nice and crunchy. About 9 calories per cookie! Certified Organic by Organic Crop Improvement Agency. ALL Castor & Pollux’ pet foods and treats are tested by an independent lab for salmonella, melamine, cyanuric acid and other toxins. No exceptions!”

Here is a list of ingredients:
Organic Chicken, Organic Barley, Organic Peas, Organic Brown Rice, Organic Oats, Organic Fat Preserved With Mixed Tocopherols (Form of Vitamin E), Natural Cheese Flavor, Herring Meal, Organic Flaxseed.

If we were dogs, we’d beg you to get these cookies! What’s not to like? You can find Castor & Pollux Organix Dog Cookies at pet supply stores, and online at Amazon. For convenience, we buy the 4-pack of 12-ounce boxes from Amazon. Each package will last longer than you expect because the biscuits are small. They will last a long time unopened. After opening, store contents in an air-tight container for freshness.
