Our 15-year-old shepherd mix, Cleo, has always enjoyed her walks. She had been on a “senior” diet that contained some glucosamine and chondroitin for several years, but it suddenly became obvious that she needed an additional supplement. Our other elderly dog, a Shih-tzu named Dufus also began to slow down. Our vet recommended Dasuquin.
Dasuquin has worked wonders, and both elderly dogs look forward eagerly to their daily walks. Canine joint supplements are expensive, especially if you buy them from your vet. Fortunately, Amazon offers Dasuquin from several pet supply companies, with a savings of about 50%.
Dasuquin comes in large chewable pills or soft chews. We’ve used both. Cleo considers either one a great treat, but Dufus finds the soft chews acceptable without being wrapped in a pill pocket. That’s a big plus.
The difference in our old dogs’ mobility is amazing. Both are over fifteen years old. Our Shih-tzu is very spry for his age, and Cleo, who is much larger, moves without pain, although she is a “white muzzle” dog and is happy with shorter walks than in her prime.
I have already started Max, our 8-year-old Terrier mix on Dasuquin. He still runs like the wind, but he’s technically a senior citizen and deserves the best joint care we can give him. Our experience with Dasuquin has been very gratifying, and I would personally recommend it without any reservations. If your veterinarian has recommended Dasuquin for your pets, you could probably save some money by getting it from Amazon.com. Since it’s a supplement, not a prescription drug, you don’t have to do anything other than order it.
